Hunter's Advent Chapter 4

I got back to the base and walked out of the transporter into Dragonia’s office. I looked and saw Dragonia at her desk.

“I’m back.” I said.

“Hello Vincent. How was the mission?” Dragonia asked.

“It went well. I got the DNA of another pseudoroid.” I replied.

“Good. Because I’ve got another one for you. Somewhere in the Amazon, extinctionists are going in with supllies to make a base. But lately more and more supplies keep getting sent in and I don’t think any of the past troops they’ve sent are coming back out. I want you to go and investigate.” Dragonia said.

“Amazon Rainforest? Sounds interesting.” I said.

“And the best part, as a robot, you aren’t going to need shots. Now get going.” Dragonia said.

“I’m on it.” I said.

I walked back into the transporter and was sent to the Amazon Rainforest.

“Wow.” I said as I looked around. This place is sure strange.”

“Hey Vincent, where do you think we should start looking?” Model A asked.

“I’ve not the slightest clue.” I said.

“This place is pretty big. It could take us days to find anything.” Model A said.

Just as I was about to speak up, I heard something go off and pulled a cell phone out of my pocket.

“When did I have this?” I asked.

“Who knows. Just answer it.” Model A said.

I answered it and waited. “Hello?”

“Hello Vincent.” Dragonia said.

“Dragonia, where did this phone come from?” I asked.

“I slipped it into your pocket earlier. You’ll need it so I can bring you back with the transporter. Now there’s an energy signature about five miles north of you. Go check it out.” Dragonia said.

“Got it Dragonia.” I said.

I hung up and started walking through the rainforest to go north like Dragonia said. After a while I found something. A large tower of sorts that was just below the top of the trees.

“Looks like they managed to build something.” I said.

“Yeah. And look over there. I see signs of a gun fight. Looks like mavericks came in and fired on the extictionists. Maybe they built this.” Model A said.

“Maybe. Let’s look inside and see what’s there.” I said.

“Good idea.”

I walked inside and looked around. The place seemed kind of empty. No people, or mavericks at all. Then alarms went off.

“INTRUDER ALERT. INTRUDER ALERT. ALL SECURITY MEASURES ACTIVATING.” A computerized voice said.

I looked and saw the door behind us close and lock itself. We were trapped inside.

“This isn’t good Vincent.” Model A said.

“Yeah no shit.” I replied.

I walked deeper into the building and saw what looked like strange platforms above me.

“Apparently they forgot stairs and used these instead.” I said.

“Well let’s go then.” Model A said.

I nodded and got a running start. I jumped and kicked off the wall and landed on the weird plant like platform. I looked and saw a weird bud thing on it. I walked up to it and as soon as I did, it opened up to reveal a gun barrel of some kind. I jumped back as it fired a blast of electricity at me. I fired an energy bullet into it and the bud shattered into pieces. I took off running and looked up to see another plant like platform with a weird flower bud robot on it. I kicked off another wall and jumped up. I shot the bud once it opened up and kept on running. Soon after hours of running I made it to the top of the tower.

“Man. Don’t these guys know what stairs and an elevator are?” I asked.

“Doesn’t seem like it.” Model A said.

“Come on then. We’ve got to see what’s going on.” I saisd.

I walked towards a door and opened it. I saw what looked like a man up ahead. He was in an extinctionists uniform. But he was trembling and freaking out. In front of him was some weird robot with its back to us. It looked like a thorny rose bud or something with vine arms.

“So another extinctionist has made it into my tower. You’re very good. I like you. Accept my thorny embrace and allow your soul to be scattered like petals on the breeze.” The robot said.

“N-No! S-Stay back!” The extinctionist said.

“Stop!” I said.”

The robot turned to look at me.

“One by one they are drawn to my tower. You’re quite a handsome boy. I like you.” The robot said.

“Aaaahhhhhh!” The extinctionist shouted and turned to run out the door behind the robot. It took off running out the door to the next room.

The robot turned to look where the extinctionist was.

“Oh darn. My sacrifice got away.” It said as it turned to look at me. “I’ll just use you instead.”

“Sacrifice for what?” I asked.

“It is all for the new king. Biometal Model W.” The robot said.

It suddenly had vines come out of its back and pull itself onto some vines hanging from the ceiling. It opened up to reveal a robot inside the bud, it was pink and looked like a thorny plant man. The bud had become rose petals attached to his back. It was hanging from the vine and moved up a bit so it was off the ground.

“My name is Rospark. Come and cry out in my bosom. Cry out in terror and pain!” The robot, now known as Rospark said.

He swung his arm and launched several sharp thorns at me. I jumped back to dodge them, then returned fire with my own energy bullets. I hit him several times and ran up a wall to get a better angle and drove my hand into it, to slow my descent and slid down the wall slowly. While sliding I started firing at Rospark several times. He suddenly fired three thorns that were electrically charged in my direction. I feel down the rest of the way to dodge it and looked up to see the thorns were connected by a bolt of electricity forming a triangle of electric energy.

“Damn. That was too close.” I said.

“Look out he’s still coming.” Model A said.

I looked to see his thorny vine coming right at me like a whip. I rolled to the side to dodge it and fired five more energy bullets into him. He was getting weak and didn’t have much left in him. I decided to try something and started charging energy into my blaster. The air was becoming charged with energy and I saw the charge on my blaster going up. Rospark launched a whip at me once more and I aimed the blaster at him and fired the charged shot. The blast was large and it tore the vine arm to pieces as it traveled towards him and soon it collided with his body. I watched as it ripped through him leaving a gaping hole in his chest. The rose petals on his back fell off and he seemed to be done.

“Oh I had no idea your power was so fiery. I’m wilting. Wilting. Wwwwwhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyy?” Rospark whined.

I watched and saw light coming from his body. He was going to explode just like the other pseudoroids. I ducked behind a bunch of crates and waited till Rospark exploded.

BOOOOM!

I looked out to see a floating sphere that was Rospark’s DNA. I absorbed it and ran on ahead to check on the extinctionist. I looked and saw a pit with spikes at the bottom of it. And several metal pipes hanging from the ceiling. I knew how to get across.

“A-Trans!”

I turned into Rospark. I latched a vine onto a pipe and opened up into the pink robot with rose petals behind him. I was hanging from the pipe and latched a vine onto the next pie and the next until I was back on solid ground on the other side. I turned back to my megaman form and walked through the door on the other side.

“Whoa.” I said.

The extinctionist was still there, trembling at the sight of me. And leaning against the wall behind him covered in vines was a giant hunk of metal with blue lines along it attached to a weird red dot that was its core in the middle.

“What is that thing?” I asked.

“Y-You’re one of the gang who attacked our airship aren’t you?” The extinctionist asked.

“No. I’m here to help. Just calm down.” I said.

“S-S-Stay back! Get away!” He said.

“It’s no use. He’s in a total panic.” Model A said.

Suddenly the man had a weird purple ball float out of his chest.

“AAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!” the extinctionist shouted in terror.

The extinctionist faded and disappeared completely and the weird ball floated in the air towards the weird object leaning against the wall. The object absorbed it and suddenly the blue lines turned red and started fluctuating.

“What just happened?” I asked.

Suddenly two people, one wearing all green clothes and carrying a sword hilt on his hip, and the other wearing a red scarf and all purple clothes appeared in front of me.

“Unable to endure the terror, that man, fell victim to Model W.” The man in green said.

“Model W? This humongous thing is a biometal?” Model A asked.

“Subject recognized. Target is Megaman Model A.” The purple man said.

“Who are you guys?” I asked.

The man in green megamerged and was hit with a bolt of lightning and in his Megaman form when it was gone. He was wearing green a green vest, helmet, and boots, and had strange wing like objects sticking out of his back. He spoke up.

“You’re the chosen one for Model A? What a disappointment. I am Aeolus. The wind Megaman. Model H.” Aeolus said.

The man in purple was next to megamerge and became cloaked in shadows. When they dissipated he was wearing a purple vest, boots and helmet, with his face hidden and red eyes showing. He still had the same scarf around his neck.

“Codename: Siarnaq. Shadow Megaman. Model P.” Siarnaq said.

“Model H? Model P? Are these more of the megamen Prometheus was talking about?” Model A asked.

“What an utter fool you are Megaman Model A.” Aeolus said.

“What?! We’ll show you!” Model A said.

“Our priority is to awaken and retrieve Model W. Engaging Megaman Model A in combat, does not fall within strategic operational parameters.” Siarnaq said.

“What!? So you’re just going to ignore us huh?” Model A asked.

“You understand correctly. We can end you at any time. So you would do well to hone your skills by the next time we meet.” Aeolus said.

“Hey!” I shouted.

Suddenly they vanished in a flash of light from a transporter bringing them back to wherever. Then the Model W went as well. I was confused now. What was with these odd megamen and what did Model W have to do with anything? I had a lot to talk to Dragonia about. So I called her and got transported back to the base. Once there., I was going to ask what she knew about Model W.
